Like the title say: if you want sexy abs, then you have to be willing to work for them. And, yes, we know how groan inducing that work can be. This is, after all, exercise, not playtime. If you want sexy abs, then you have to be willing to do more than just dream about them. This requires doing the necessary exercises, dieting and overall lifestyle changes. You have to be willing to put in the proper amount of effort, not just do some half-hearted crunches and expect instant results. Also, you need to understand the difference between doing the right kind of hard work and doing something that hardly works. There are many myths surrounding sexy abs, which is why we are here. You need to know what is true and what isn’t.

Myth One: if you train your abs, the rest of your body will follow. This is not true. Yours abs are their own muscles; the rest of your stomach and body need to be worked on individually. Just doing the exercises for sexy abs will not burn off the rest of excess body fat. You need to train the entire body for that. And, also, you can’t even see abs if you do not exercise the rest of your stomach. They won’t show up under extra layers of fat.

Myth Two: repetition is the key to sexy abs. Oh so very wrong. Simply doing crunch after crunch will not give you the results you want. Your body will grow used to repetitive exercise and become, essentially, immune to it. To get full results, you need to switch up routines and increase resistance as time moves along. This will keep your body from growing too accustomed to the exercise. You are just wasting time doing the same thing over and over.

Myth Three: you need to train every day for sexy abs. Again, this is wrong. You will just hurt yourself or cause unnecessary strain on your body if you do a routine every day. Like with any other exercise, you need to give these muscles a chance to rest and relax. Training every day will just cause problems, and can quickly deter you from exercising since you will be in pain. You need to take time off during the week, giving yourself enough time to rest. Ab training three times a week is plenty.

Myth Four: you have to cut out all carbohydrates. While, yes, these can be problems to obtaining sexy abs, they are also things you can deal with. The key to any diet is moderation and the ability to burn more calories than you take in. You can eat sensibly and, rather than denying yourself the foods you want and risk putting yourself against the entire diet policy, you just have to learn to use common sense. Sometimes, you are just going to be in the mood for pasta. That’s fine, assuming you don’t gorge yourself on it.
